You didn't ask to be here, but it's up to you to make it worth it. Doing the things necessary to make life enjoyable is an active process; you can't just hope it'll be good or expect someone else to make it good for you. Everyday, you need to do things that are enjoyable like working on a non-work project, hanging out with friends, eating delicious treats, watching a movie, getting a massage, sitting in the sun, and anything else you can imagine. If you decide it's too much effort to do pleasant activities everyday, you're only making yourself miserable. It's okay to have days where you just can't, but this should not last for more than a week; if it does last longer than a week, find a therapist to understand better what's keeping you from creating a life worth living.
In Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) we learn how to intentionally make things better by:
Doing pleasant things everyday
Avoiding avoiding things
Being completely present during pleasant activities
Refocusing attention on pleasant activities when the mind wanders
Being aware of any worried thoughts that creep in like "this is going to end soon" or "I don't deserve to enjoy this"
